Where is TechBeat located and where do you ship from?
We are located in Belrose, NSW. However, we do get our merchandise shipped from numerous locations throughout the Australia - so that our customers get their orders faster while paying less for shipping.
What are your hours of operation?

Our online store is open 24 hours a day every day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Our phone line however is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30pm (AEST) excluding NSW public holidays.

We process and ship orders during weekdays.

Orders placed before 1 pm are shipped that day if the merchandise is in stock.

What is your returns policy?
Our return and exchange policy is designed to be easy, fast, and hassle free. You can review our return policy in the Store Policies section of this Help Center.
I bought a product and I already opened it, but I do not want it any longer. Can I return it?
We only accept returns and exchanges within 14 days from the day you received your order. For items that have been opened, we will have to charge a Restocking fees start at 15%. For more insormation regarding our return guidelines please refer to our Return & Exchange Policy under Help Centre.
I decided I do not want the item that I ordered and it is not open. What is the procedure for returning it?
We only accept returns and exchanges within 14 days from the day you received your order. In order to start the process for a return, go to the Returns & Exchange Policy section of the Help Centre and follow the online procedure for returns. A customer service representative will contact you via email to give you the return authorization and instructions. When we receive the item back in our warehouse, we will issue you a refund for the price you paid minus the cost of shipping (if you chose the free shipping method, we will deduct the price we incurred to ship it to you).For more information regarding our return guidelines please refer to our Return & Exchange Policy under Help Centre.
I ordered the wrong item. How can I exchange it for the right one?
We only accept returns and exchanges within 14 days from the day you received your order. If the item has been opened, we will charge a Restocking fees start at 15%. In order to start the process for a return/exchange, go to the Returns & Exchnage section of the Help Center and follow the online procedure for returns. A customer service representative will call you to place a new order for the correct unit and then contact you via email to give you the return authorization and instructions. We can either wait until we receive the original unit to send the correct unit and then credit or charge the difference, or you can place a new order for the correct unit and we will refund you for the original unit when it is received.
The item I ordered is defective. How can I get a replacement?
We only accept returns and exchanges within 14 days from the day you received your order. After 14 days, you need to contact the manufacturer and they will fix the item or replace it for you under the Manufacturer Warranty. In order to start the process for a return/exchange, go to the Returns & Policy section of the Help Center and follow the online procedure for returns. A customer service representative will contact you via email to give you the return authorization and instructions. We can either wait until we receive the defective unit to send the replacement unit, or you can pay for the new unit to be sent right away and we will refund you for the defective unit when it is received.

We accept EFT payment. EFT normally takes one or two business days to trnsfer the fund to our account.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards (including Visa, MasterCard), Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and cheques. For payments by cheques, note that your cheques must clear before we ship the merchandise.

TechBeat accepts company, bank and personal cheques. Cheques are subject to clearance, normally taking three business days. Please include your Order Reference Number and mail your cheques to the address below:

Is it safe to order on your website?
When you shop at TechBeat, you are one of many of customers who have safely shopped with us without credit card fraud. We use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which is the industry standard and the best software available today for secure online commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.
What kind of verification procedure do you have to protect your customers against fraud?
There is a lot of internet fraud out there. In order to protect our customers and ourselves against fraud, we need to verify every order that has a different shipping than billing address. We will also need the correct billing information. To verify the order, we call the credit card company and verify the information with them. The most important part of the verification procedure is having the correct phone number that the credit card company has on file. We then contact the cardholder at that phone number to make sure that he/she did in fact order the item and also to verify where the item will be shipped. It is the most secure anti-fraud procedure.
Is it OK if I want to ship my order to an address other than my billing address?
Yes. We will be more than happy to ship to a different shipping than billing address, but we will need to verify your order at the billing phone number (or a phone number the credit card company has on file) before we can ship it out.
I do not feel comfortable using my credit card on websites. Can I place my order on the phone?
No problem! We will be glad to take your order over the phone during business hours. Just give us a call and we will assist you.

Do you do price adjustments?
Price drops are unpredictable to us and we always sell products with the same margin, therefore we can not offer price adjustments. Once the item has been shipped, we cannot credit a difference if the price is lowered.
Do you price match?
We feel confident that we provide low prices with the best customer service. Too many web companies are not reliable, reputable, trust worthy businesses. Some companies will not hesitate to sell refurbished or open-box items as new or list products as in-stock when they do not carry any. Because of this, we only price match on certain products. If you do decide to order elsewhere, we suggest you give the company a call and check out their reputation. Be sure to also take into consideration all shipping cost and hiden fees. The product page will be marked next to the price if we do price match on that particular item. If you see "Call Us If You Found A Better Price", we will try to match the price or come close to it but it is not guaranteed that we will price match for that item. When it says "Call Us And We Will Match It" on the product page, we will match an advertised competitors internet price as long as it is for the exact same item. For instance where we say "Call Us And We Will Beat It By $X", we will beat the competitors advertised price by that amount. Please note: We can only price match with our competitors advertised price on their website. Also, we will only match the total price for the product and/or order (so if the competitor charges shipping or any other extra cost for insurance we will take that into account for the total price to match). Product must be in stock and available for ordering on both our website and the competitors website. Product to be price matched must be for the exact same model we carry (including year and sku) and must be advertised as such on competitors website.Competitors must be an authorized dealer.

Who has access to my personal information?
Your personal information is completely safe with our company. The information you give to us is not given or sold to any outside party except for the shipping companies we use to send your items (for these shipping companies, we will only provide them with your name and shipping address, and do not give them any other information). We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

Do you require a signature when my order is delivered?
Yes. To ensure packages are delivered to you and only you, an adult signatory is required for all deliveries unless you specify otherwise.
Do you ship outside Australia?
No. We currently only ship within Australia.
How do I know when my order has been shipped?
As long as you provide us with a valid email address (or an email address that does not have a spam filter) when you place your order, we will automatically email your tracking number to you when the order has been shipped. You can then track your package to determine when it will get to you.
How long does it take for my order to ship?

If the item you order is in stock:

  • If you place your order before 1 pm (AEST) on a week day, your item is guaranteed to ship that day.
  • If you place your order after 1pm (AEST) on a week day, we will do everything we can to still ship that same business day but if we can not, your order is guaranteed to ship the following business day (we are proud to pull off shipping miracles on a daily basis!).
  • If you place your order on a weekend or a holiday, your order is guaranteed to ship first the following business day.
  • While TechBeat does everything in it's power to ensure prompt shipping of all orders placed with us, occaisonally delays can occur. TechBeat supplies shipping and courier information to it's customers based on information from suppliers. TechBeat will not be liable for inaccurate ETA's, stock delays, or changes in stock availability.
  • Delivery time information is supplied as an estimate of normal duration of delivery once a product has been dispatched. Delays may occur during shipping or if the product is out of stock. An adult signatory is required to receive goods.

Do you give discounts to customers who order several products at once?
Yes, we can give discounts on most items if large enough quantities are ordered. If you would like a quote for a volume order, please contact by phone during business hours and we will work our magic to provide you with an attractive price. We will need your contact information, the address where the items will be shipped to, and also the method of payment you will be using. Note that paying by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) will get you a lower price than paying by credit card because we will not have to incur credit card fees.
